Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, established under the Maharashtra National Law University Act 2014 on 20th March 2014, is one of the premier National Law Universities in India.
The prime goal of the University is to disseminate advanced legal knowledge and processes of law amongst the students and impart in them the skills of advocacy, legal services, law reforms and make them aware and capable to utilize these instruments for social transformation and development. To attain this goal, it has started its first academic endeavor on 1st August 2015.
Located in the pristine Powai region of Mumbai, the University enjoys an un-paralleled avenue for higher studies especially in law and related matters. Hon'ble Shri. Justice Alok Aradhe, Judge of Supreme Court of India is the Chancellor of the University.
The MNLU Law Journal is a premier open-access, annual online/offline publication dedicated to democratizing legal scholarship.

Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey is the Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai. He previously served as Pro Vice-Chancellor and Acting Vice Chancellor of SRTM University, Nanded, and as Professor and Head of the Department of Law at Savitribai Phule Pune University. His expertise lies in Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law and Administrative Law.
Prof. (Dr.) Amol Deo Chavhan is a distinguished legal academic and Professor of Law, serving as the Dean of Students' Welfare at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. With over 15 years of teaching experience, he specializes in criminal law, torts and prison administration.
Dr. Pratapsinh B. Salunke is the Officer on Special Duty to the Hon’ble ViceChancellor and Associate Dean at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. He specializes in Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Jurisprudence and Public Law.
Dr. Nanda Pardhey is an accomplished legal academic with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology Law and an LL.M. in Business Law. She specializes in Biotechnology, Medical, Constitutional, Family and Cyber Laws.
Dr. Amit Kumar, Assistant Professor of Law at MNLU Mumbai, also serves as Deputy Director of IQAC. His interests include health law, human rights, and comparative law.
Dr. Abhijit Rohi is an Assistant Professor of Law at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai since 2016. Currently he is the Head of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Departments.
