Dr. Amit Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Law at Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai. He is a Wirtschaftskammer Steiermark Senior Fellow and Max Planck Fellow.
He has a doctorate from the NALSAR University of Law Hyderabad with Max Planck Institute of Social Laws and Social Policy, Munich as the host visiting institute. He is an alumnus of the Indian Law Institute's LL.M program and completed his LL.B from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He also holds a Master’s degree in French language and literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
Prior to joining MNLU, Mumbai he has taught at the University of Delhi, Faculty of Law.
As a Wirtschaftskammer Senior Resident Fellow as well as a Max Planck fellow, Prof. Kumar has engaged in academic and research collaborations with leading European Universities and with the Max Planck Institute of Social Law and Social Policy, Munich, Germany.
He is an empaneled visiting faculty at National Institute for Securities Management (SEBI), Mumbai, Bombay Stock Exchange Institute and the National Institute for Public Health Training and Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Mumbai.
